Kiln Ignition Marks a New Stage of Production and Operations

On September 9, Hualian Ceramics held the kiln ignition ceremony for its ASEAN Ceramics Valley in Thanh Hoa, Vietnam. Nearly 200 guests and employee representatives attended the event, including customers, representatives from Hualian Group headquarters, Viet Hung Group, project contractors, suppliers, supervision partners, and various business units, gathering to witness this important milestone.

The morning began with a traditional lion dance, accompanied by drums and festive performances that brought energy to the occasion. During the main ceremony, representatives from the production plants, business units, and project partners delivered remarks, followed by the official handover of the land-use certificate.

In his address, Group President Ding Xuewen, on behalf of Chairman Xu Junqi and all Hualian employees, welcomed and thanked the customers, construction partners, and suppliers attending the ceremony.

“The kiln fires are burning, carrying our craftsmanship across borders,” he said. “Today’s ignition not only signals the start of production at Hualian’s overseas manufacturing base, but also marks a critical step in our journey from bringing our products to global markets to globalizing our manufacturing and service capabilities.”

Looking ahead to the next stage of ASEAN Ceramics Valley, President Ding outlined four priorities. First, remain customer-centric by putting customer needs first and continuously creating value through products and services. Second, ensure efficient operations by following the production and capacity ramp-up plan, accelerating the path toward stable output and operational efficiency while maintaining production safety. Third, contribute to local development by actively integrating into the community, operating in full compliance with local laws and regulations, protecting the environment, and fulfilling corporate social responsibilities. Fourth, build a trusted brand through high-quality products, standardized management systems, and responsible business practices, with the goal of earning the confidence of local government, communities, and customers and establishing a model for China-Vietnam manufacturing cooperation.

Following the main ceremony, guests visited the respective production facilities. At 10:48 a.m., the kilns were officially ignited. As the flames rose, applause and the sound of drums filled the factory.

For a ceramics manufacturer, the moment the kiln is lit is the moment a production line truly comes to life.

From Construction to Production, Strengthening Global Supply Capabilities

ASEAN Ceramics Valley is Hualian’s first cross-border investment project. Since construction began on August 28, 2025, the project has completed the first phase of factory buildings and infrastructure, equipment installation and commissioning, as well as employee recruitment and training—all within approximately one year.

From groundbreaking to kiln ignition, the project has progressed at an efficient pace. Behind this “Hualian speed” is the close collaboration of Vietnamese government authorities at all levels, project partners, and construction teams, together with the long-standing trust and support of Hualian’s international customers.

As the project gradually enters the production and operational stage, Hualian will combine more than three decades of ceramic manufacturing expertise and lean management experience with the strengths of local Vietnamese talent. The goal is to develop ASEAN Ceramics Valley into an international ceramic manufacturing and innovation hub characterized by intelligent production, integrated operations, flexible manufacturing, and sustainable development.

Leveraging Vietnam’s strategic position connecting ASEAN with international markets, its convenient sea and land transportation networks, and access to multiple free trade agreements, ASEAN Ceramics Valley will further strengthen Hualian’s responsiveness to overseas markets and enhance delivery reliability, providing international customers with stronger and more resilient production capacity.

A New Kiln Is Lit, and a New Manufacturing Journey Begins

From Liling to Thanh Hoa, more than three decades of Hualian’s ceramic manufacturing expertise are now being carried forward at a new production base.

As ASEAN Ceramics Valley gradually ramps up production, Hualian will steadily advance operations and capacity growth while continuing to strengthen its global manufacturing and supply network.

Together with our customers and partners around the world, we will move forward with stronger production capacity, more reliable delivery, and deeper collaboration—honoring every trust placed in us.
