Premier Li Qiang Attends Symposium Marking 70 Years of the Canton Fair in Guangzhou; Hualian Ceramics Chairman Xu Junqi Invited to Participate

On October 14, 2026, Chinese Premier Li Qiang attended a symposium in Guangzhou marking the 70th anniversary of the Canton Fair, themed “Connecting the World for 70 Years.” Xu Junqi, Chairman of Hualian Ceramics (Hualian China Industry Co., Ltd.), was invited to attend as the only business representative from Hunan Province. He joined more than 30 business representatives from China and approximately 70 business leaders from nearly 30 countries and regions to mark this historic milestone in the Canton Fair's 70-year history.
During the symposium, Premier Li Qiang noted that over the past seven decades, the Canton Fair has become a prominent symbol of China's opening-up and an important window through which the world understands China. Relationships among participating enterprises are evolving beyond traditional trade partnerships into broader cooperation in innovation, investment, and industrial and supply chains. Premier Li encouraged Chinese and international businesses to strengthen connections between supply and demand, deepen innovation-driven cooperation, and share stories of mutual success. Looking ahead, he emphasized the importance of further enhancing the Canton Fair's global reputation and developing a smarter, greener, and more people-oriented event that continues to bring new momentum to global trade and economic development.
The Canton Fair has long served as a gateway for China's ceramic industry to connect with the world and a starting point for Hualian's international development. As the Canton Fair enters a new chapter after 70 years, Hualian Ceramics will continue to leverage international trade platforms such as the Canton Fair to strengthen cooperation with global partners. The company remains committed to advancing its capabilities in design and R&D, intelligent manufacturing, and global supply, while accelerating the development of a global green manufacturing network spanning China, the ASEAN Ceramic Valley, and Africa. With a more open and collaborative approach, Hualian aims to deepen its participation in international industrial cooperation, create long-term value for customers worldwide, and take its global development to the next stage.
